Blue skies and the transition home

I am sorry that these posts are coming after we arrived safely home.  Our last couple of days in Guatemala and were very full and late, so I wasn't able to get to the blog before now.  First off we are all home safe and healthy.  Praise God!
Our travels were long and challenging but we all made it though.   We even survived a few inspections at custom points and a threat to seize my "Krispy Kreme" donuts because I failed to declare them.  He warned me that a failure to declare is an $800 fine.  I think the agent was hoping I would give them to him.  The team razed me for this hold up but I stayed strong.  Those donuts were for my kids at home!

Prior to leaving Guatemala we got to see more of the country and experience one of their natural wonders.   The incredible rock pools of Semuc, Champey.
Semuc Champey

We were blessed with their beauty, a refreshing swim,  and a time of relaxation in them.  We were like sponges soaking it all up and sunning ourselves like seal pups.  The rest was so worth the challenging travel to get to see them.
Our last night in Guatemala was concluded with a time of intense prayer and a challenge to be aware of what God wants to change in us and the steps we need to take to allow that to happen.  Of course all change requires us to be in prayer and to seek His will through the Word.
We all recognized our need to keep the Word a priority in our daily walk.

As with any adventure that comes to an end, there is a time of transition back to daily life at home.  This comes with its own challenges and blessings.
I was blessed with the hugs of my children and the beautiful smile of my Grandson.
My prayer for us all is that we continue to dance the Two step with the Lord and respond to His loving direction, so that our "Mission" in life, to share Him with all whom we meet, carries on through all of our days.  Thank you all for supporting us in this incredible journey.
