All things work together for good

I am sorry that it has been a few days since I've touched base.  Our days have been very full.  Over flowing with Guatemalan experiences and lessons from the Lord.  It is overwhelming to try to process it all and share it without writing a book!
We have learned more about the fine line between spiritism (mysticism) and knowing the Holy Spirit.  The enemy has deceived so many by letting them believe that they can worship God the Father in a mainstream "christian" church and continue to worship the gods of their pagan heritage, even to the point of performing rituals for both on the same property.
It is so sad to see the extent of the deception and the depth of the evil root.
Praise God that He has overcome the deception by the witness of the lives who live and share the Truth in love, not condemnation.  We saw and heard what Christ's love has done to change so many lives here and set them free from the bondage they have been in.
The amazing thing is that much of the witness comes from the children who have been blessed to attend Impact Ministries schools.  The children are fed physically and spiritually causing new life and hope to spring in their lives.  They take each seed of life they receive in school, home and share it with their families.  We have heard repeatedly that it is the hope the families see in the children that leads them to seek the Lord for themselves.
We have visited several schools and today we got to minister to the children in one of the schools and I could see the hope and joy in their eyes.  Their joy is contagious and as they worshipped the Lord completely unhindered their joy over took us.  I felt so light leaving there.  I was filled with hope and realization that God is truly working all things for good  (Rom 8:28).

Sunday service was an amazing time of worship with a call to free ourselves from the bondage of sin and live for righteousness.  We were blessed to witness the baptism of 25 people of all ages.  Many of the young people that were baptized are students in the Impact schools.  They not only believed and were baptized, they also pledged to serve the Lord as He directs them.  They spoke amazing commitments of giving their lives in service to the Lord to be agents of change in their culture.
This is the true fruit of this ministry...training up the youth to bring life and hope to their generation and generations to come.
